A demand letter, sent by an attorney, makes the possibility of a lawsuit “real” for the other company. Perhaps for the first time, the other party will have to weigh the possible consequences of not complying with the demand.
Most field service representatives simply take no action when owed money and they just walk away with nothing ... the deadbeat customer wins because you have backed down and have not consulted with an attorney. There is no guarantee that a demand letter will result in a payment. But, without the demand letter being sent by an attorney, you will never know if it would have worked. Don't let a deadbeat firm win!

Is there an attorney in Arkansas that does this because I am going through this right now. I have a dead beat client that is hiding, leaving her voicemail full, having her employees in the office lie to us. Its about 5 subcontractors that didn't get paid in Arkansas and she set up in California. She even has the nerve to ask us for help in other areas but want pay us.
