Send your best customers a Valentine's card on February 14th and tell them that you LOVE their business.
It's a great way to score points with your customer as most of your competitors will not send them a card.
You customers will remember YOU as the person who was kind enough to thank them for their business.
Mail the cards. Mailed cards are more personal than electronic cards. Send some great candy and score more points. Keep any gifts below $25 in value. Watch your inspection volume increase.

I am finding that some field service representatives are not very responsive. They are NOT quick to answer emails or return telephone calls.
You DO NOT want these SLOW RESPONDERS on your field services team.
Make sure you sent field inspectors some test emails and test telephone calls to MEASURE their response time BEFORE you think about hiring them. Some will never answer your email or respond to your voice mail.
Do not WASTE your valuable time with field service representatives who cannot respond to emails and telephone calls. It will slow down your whole operation and waste a lot of your time.

One field services firm requires a photo for every lock change showing the drilling of the lock cylinder. The field services firm requires this photo even when the lock is picked or when access to the property is gained by an unlocked window or door. They are requiring false documentation. This is fraud.
So what you have here is a field services firm that asks property preservation mechanics to commit fraud and property preservation mechanics that commit fraud. When you submit doctored photos you have committed fraud.
Don't commit a crime when a company asks you to falsify information. You will get caught!
The mortgage segment is the source of about 99% of all of the problems in the field services industry.

Background checks are becoming more common in the field services industry.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) says that there are more than 27.5 million businesses in the US. What is very uncommon is for a job applicant to pay for a background check. In the whole world of business in the US, about 99.5% of all businesses DO NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check.
In all of my years, I have been background checked many times. I have also been polygraphed by the National Security Agency.
I have never paid for a background check. I would never work for any firm that required me to pay for a background check. In the whole world of business in the US, about 99.5% of all businesses DO NOT require a job applicant to pay for a background check. Why would you want to be the oddball and pay for a background check?
Stand your ground! Don't pay for background checks!
Don't be the oddball!

Most inspectors calling SOFI never introduce themselves by saying their name or their location.
Communications in business is very important. The first part of every call should be to introduce yourself by providing your name.
Also, stop it with the stupid unprofessional words used in emails. Our National Field Service Directory does not list field service representatives with unprofessional names in their emails. Your chances of getting any work when using a couchpotatodave@ email is very slim.

11:12 AM, Jan 08. Bank of America (BAC) is looking to sell mortgage servicing rights on another $100B in loans, reports Reuters. This follows yesterday's sale of $306B in MSRs that sent the buyers - Nationstar (NSM) and Walter Investment (WAC) - racing higher. Perhaps it's Ocwen's (OCN +2%) turn to get a piece.
..........
Bank of America is dumping all of its servicing rights right after they dumped all of their field service inspection and property preservation operations. The message is clear. It's all about money. There is more money to be made outside of mortgage servicing and mortgage inspections and property preservation. Bank of America's actions largely reflect strategic priorities, a desire to move beyond legacy mortgage and litigation issues. Other banks will follow them and sell their servicing rights. Bank of America is taking the high road and leaving the bad taste from Countrywide Home Loans and Countrywide Field Services behind them. They will continue to originate mortgages but, primarily through their branch network and wealth management units
The mortgage segment of the field services industry is the home of the lowest fee inspections and about 99% of all of the problems in the industry. Check out the commercial inspections - higher fees and higher quality firms. Check out the National Field Service Directory at www.sofistore.com.

Seniors are living longer while finding that daily living expenses continue to increase every year.
Check out the field services industry as a source for some extra part-time income. Just a few inspections a week close to home will bring in some easy extra income.
As an example, just one lease inspection ($40), one business verification ($35) and one SNAP (food stamp) ($25) inspection each week will bring in about $5,000 in field inspection revenue within a year. As a small business owner, you can then take business expenses (telephone, internet, vehicle, computer, office, etc.) and cut the taxes on your income.
Check out the Field Service Business Starter Package at www.sofistore.com. Let SOFI help you start and grow your business. Call Richard Law or Dorann Law at 352-449-1041 (east coast) if you want to chat about the field services industry.
Earn some extra cash every week.
