About 99% of all of the complaints I hear in the field services industry are about mortgage inspections ... the dirty segment of the industry. The insurance and commercial segments of the industry are the clean segments of the industry ... very few problems. YOU need to focus on the commercial and insurance segments. Field Service Firm Requires Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

About 99% of field service representatives are independent contractors ... but, you would not know that when working for some field service firms.

When Sears replaces your hot water heater, they are acting an an independent contractor. I am sure that they are licensed and insured. You might ask them for a copy of their insurance policy binder. But, would you ask them for the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the vehicle that will be bringing the new hot water heater to your home? Probably not!

Chatter on the Internet says that one field service firm requires the VIN on vehicles used by field service representatives. And, YES, these VIN requirements are for those independent contractors performing ... yes, you guessed right MORTGAGE INSPECTIONS.

The mortgage segment is the home of $2 ... $3 ... $4 inspections, the most requirements and 99% of all of the problems in the field services industry.
